Festival Tour

Festivals are special occasions for the people of Bhutan. The festivals are held everywhere in the country on different dates and varying scales. However, the most common of all festivals is their spiritual and cultural significance. Different mask dances are performed at the festivals. Some of the dances that awe foreigners include the dance displaying the cycles of life, the dance that explains our soul’s intermediary state after death and black-hat dance that displays the supernatural power of Guru Rinpoche in subduing the evil sprits.

Some of the famous and big festivals include Thicmphu Thsechu held in September, Paro Tshechu in April and Bumthang Jampa Lhakhang Tshechu sometime in October. We can provide you the list of festivals held throughout the year for you to choose. Festivals are the best time to interact with the people and experience their culture.
